Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide education based on truth and correct principles  in an environment of peace and security.

We follow the methods of Dr. Maria Montessori.  Our method is based on respect of the individual child and his/her individual timetable for growth and development.  We seek to build “not only good mathematicians, proficient linguists, profound scientists, or brilliant literary lights, but also honest men [and women] with virtue, temperance, and brotherly love.  We seek to make men and women who   prize truth, justice, wisdom, benevolence, and self-control as the choicest acquisitions of a successful life.”1

Treasures of Life, comp. Claire Middlemiss (1962), 472.

Adults look upon a child as something empty that is to be filled through their own efforts, as something inert and helpless for which they must do everything, as something lacking an inner guide and in constant need of inner direction. . . . An adult who acts in this way, even though he may be convinced that he is filled with zeal, love, and a spirit of sacrifice on behalf of his child, unconsciously suppresses the development of the child's own personality.
