Lighthouse Montessori is a private, independent school serving children age 18 months through Elementary, and also provides childcare before and after school.
Our goal at LMS is to educate the whole person through the Montessori approach which addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of each child. Our caring staff and low student to teacher ratios ensure that all Lighthouse Montessori students have easy access to their teachers, have a curriculum customized to meet their individual educational needs and are learning at their own accelerated pace.
The philosophy of the Lighthouse Montessori School community is the encouragement of the child's interest and curiosity, and the development of responsible, independent thinking that fosters a life-long love of learning.
One of the greatest strengths of our school, is the trained and qualified teachers who take a personal interest in their students and parents. They care about the whole person and see education as much more than simply the training of fine minds. These dedicated teachers form the foundation of a caring community in which children develop and learn to become responsible, loving human beings.
Kindergarteners attending half day at public school will be enriched by attending our morning or afternoon kindergarten sessions. Although we serve preschool aged children, we are very different than the typical daycare or preschool program.
Our sister school, Lighthouse Elementary, is a private, independent, non-profit school for children in 1st through 6th grades. Children attending our elementary program are allowed to progress at their individual pace through our enriched and highly interactive curriculum.
Lighthouse Montessori School, regardless of age, is enrolled in a learning program that is designed for individual needs. Before and after school care is available for working parents.
